Pioneering high-risk payments for fifteen years.

GHPS began by addressing a payment problem most processors refused to take on. What started in cannabis became the foundation of a broader high-risk practice — built on a compliance-first mindset, transparency, and merchant trust.

    2009

    The year it started.

    The Night It Clicked

Chris Mills was at a Cricket location. He chose not to pay with cash.

He was directed to a machine — it accepted a card and produced a voucher.

Later that night, it clicked. That model could solve a much bigger payment problem in cannabis retail.

The next morning, he called Cricket. Found the right contact. Within three months, GHPS had placed its first machines in a dispensary.

    From there, word spread.

"Most processors saw risk. We saw a real business problem that needed a real solution."

    Built in the Toughest Market

GHPS earned its reputation in cannabis — one of the most difficult payment categories in the market.

    Compliance-First

Built solutions in a space defined by friction, regulatory pressure, and limited processing support.

    Specialist-Led

Focused on cannabis and high-risk categories from day one — not a generalist processor adding a vertical.

    Operational Rigor

16 years of hospitality leadership shaped a service-first operational discipline.

    Merchant Trust

Growth came from merchants telling other merchants. No ad spend. No sales decks.

    Word-of-Mouth Growth

Early traction comes from merchants sharing results. No ad spend. No sales decks. Just merchants telling other merchants.

    Reputation Phase

GHPS becomes known for straightforward support and dependable execution. The kind of credibility you can't manufacture.

    Expansion Phase

The company evolves beyond cannabis roots toward broader high-risk opportunities. New verticals. Same operational discipline.

    Now

    A Modern High-Risk Platform

History behind it. Expansion ahead. GHPS stands as a high-risk payment platform built from the ground up — not bolted on.

    Not Built Like Everyone Else.

    Built from merchant pain,

    not theory.

    Relationship-led,

    not volume-chasing.

    Transparent,

    not teaser-rate driven.

    Practical,

not full of smoke and mirrors.

    Operationally grounded,

    not just sales-led.

    Built for longevity,

    not short-term fixes.
