How does the GHPS merchant application work?
The process starts with a short qualifier, continues into a full merchant application when there is a potential fit, and is then reviewed by a GHPS merchant specialist.
GHPS uses a transparent three-step process. Every application is reviewed by an experienced merchant specialist with a name, a number, and authority to advance your file.
Begin with a short qualifier (business type, state, monthly volume). If we can support your category, you'll continue into the full application — business info, contacts, processing history, and supporting documents.
An experienced merchant specialist reviews your file. We complete AML/KYC, beneficial-owner verification, sanctions screening, and category-specific risk review.
Approved merchants are onboarded with the program that supports your category, given a dedicated account contact, and walked through equipment, gateway, or virtual terminal setup.
Having these documents nearby makes the full application take ~10 minutes. Missing one isn't a blocker — your reviewer will flag what's needed.

GHPS reviews business details, ownership information, processing history, licensing or operating documents, AML/KYC needs, and category-specific risk factors.
GHPS typically follows up within 24–48 hours after a submitted application, though timing can vary based on file completeness and partner requirements.
No credit pull. No SSN at this stage. Just enough to determine if your category and state are supported.
