GreenHouse Payment Solutions, LLC ("GHPS") supports lawful, risk-based compliance practices for businesses operating in cannabis and other high-risk industries. GHPS is a payment solutions company and is not a bank, sponsor bank, money transmitter, card network, or payment processor.
This page provides a general overview of GHPS's compliance-focused approach. It is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice, banking services, AML program outsourcing, or a guarantee of account approval or ongoing processing availability.
What is GHPS's compliance approach?
GHPS uses a risk-based, compliance-aware onboarding approach for high-risk merchant categories. That means merchant files may be reviewed for business legitimacy, ownership, licensing, product mix, processing history, AML/KYC information, and partner requirements before next steps are provided.
Risk-Based Approach
GHPS works to support clients and prospective clients through a risk-aware approach that may include:
- Merchant due diligence and business profile review.
- Review of ownership, operations, websites, products, services, and public-facing information.
- Ongoing monitoring support and periodic information refresh requests.
- Coordination with third-party partners involved in underwriting, compliance, or payment operations.
- Escalation of higher-risk or unusual activity for additional review.
Information That May Be Requested
Depending on the services requested and the partner requirements involved, GHPS or its partners may request information such as:
- Business formation and registration records.
- Ownership and beneficial ownership information.
- Government-issued identification for principals or control persons.
- Licensing and regulatory documentation.
- Banking, transaction, operational, or processing history.
- Product, service, fulfillment, website, and marketing details.
- Compliance, source-of-funds, or source-of-revenue information.
Failure to provide requested information may delay review, limit service options, or prevent onboarding.
Monitoring and Reviews
GHPS and relevant partners may conduct periodic reviews of account activity, business operations, and supporting documentation to satisfy legal, network, sponsor bank, processor, underwriting, and risk-management requirements.
GHPS may request updated records if there are material changes to ownership, business activity, product offerings, licensing status, compliance posture, transaction patterns, or geographic footprint.
Suspicious Activity and Escalation
GHPS reserves the right to decline, pause, restrict, or discontinue support where risk, compliance, legal, reputational, or partner-related concerns arise. GHPS may cooperate with sponsor banks, processors, financial institutions, law enforcement, or regulators where required by law, contract, subpoena, legal process, or legitimate risk review.
GHPS does not disclose internal monitoring thresholds, review methods, or investigation criteria.
No Guarantee
Because cannabis-related and other high-risk payment environments are subject to changing legal, regulatory, sponsor bank, and processor requirements, GHPS cannot guarantee eligibility, approval, continuity of service, pricing, timelines, or partner availability.
